Il progetto SeCom2.0 alla Smart Cities Exhibition 2013 [ lb.05 ]

SeCom2.0 è un progetto finanziato dal programma Life Long Learning Programme.

I partner sono: RWTH Aachen – LFI (Germania): lead partner, Politecnico di Milano- METID (Italia): e-learning and e-collaboration, TU Vienna - Hydrology (Austria): contenuti and disseminazione, Zone 2 Connect (Germany): sviluppo del serious game, HKC Cologne (Germany): accreditamento and quality control.

Lo scopo principale del progetto è di contribuire a costruire la capacità di gestire il rischio di inondazioni nei professionisti del settore e negli studenti di ingegneria idrogeologica e civile, attraverso l’identificazione di sinergie, la condivisione di conoscenze e il rafforzamento della collaborazione tra università, istituzioni pubbliche e società private, in vista dell’entrata in vigore delle direttive europee sul Flood Management.

Il progetto si propone di:
• Sviluppare uno strumento attivo e dinamico (un serious game) che permette a tutti gli utenti di verificare le proprie conoscenze nell’ambito della gestione dei rischi di natura idrogeologica e di sperimentare delle strategie.
• Sviluppare una metodologia innovativa, attiva e problem based per le attività formative

SeCom2.0 offre ai due gruppi target tutto ciò di cui hanno bisogno, sia a livello di conoscenze, sia a livello di competenze nella forma di: materiali didattici online, simulazioni virtuali lungo i fiumi per analizzare differenti scenari di inondazioni nelle aree urbane, strumenti per l’apprendimento collaborativo, attività di assessment e valutazione.

La situazione delle inondazioni nelle aree urbane negli ultimi anni in Europa
Hani Sewilan RWTH Aachen, Lehr- und Forschungsgebietes Ingenieurhydrologie Biografia

Hani Sewilam has more than 20 years of academic and professional experience in the fields of sustainable development, water resources, e-learning and capacity building. He authored many peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters. He served as a consultant and reviewer for several international research and development organizations.

Hani Sewilam joined the RWTH Aachen University in Germany as the academic director of the Department of Engineering Hydrology and executive director of the UNESCO Chair on Hydrological Changes and Water Resources Management.

Sewilam worked for the UN Water Decade Program on Capacity Development from 2010 to 2011.

From 2002 to 2009, Sewilam worked as the deputy director for the Department of Engineering Hydrology at the RWTH Aachen University.

He managed many international research and capacity building projects in 21 countries.

In 2008, he established the first North African Regional Center of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE Cairo) which is acknowledged by the United Nations University.

Sewilam worked for the Egyptian National Water Research Center as a researcher and coordinator for development projects with several UN organizations.

Susanna Sancassani is the Managing Director of METID, the service devoted to e-elearning, e-collaboration and knowledge sharing in Politecnico di Milano, one of the leading techincal universities in Italy. She has been teacher of “Multimedia design” at the Industrial Design faculty and of “Laboratory of digital services design” and of “Design and development of e-learning courses” of the Online Degree in Computer Engineering. In collaboration with other colleagues from Politecnico di Milano she has published “Costruire servizi digitali” (Milano, Apogeo, 2003), “Il bit e la tartaruga” (Milan Apogeo, 2004) and “e-Collaboration: the sense of the Web” (Milan, Apogeo 2011).
